The Safe Waters Foundation

Over the many moons of my life, I have ventured many seas. I have seen merfolk of all tribes and colours and customs. There are places which I shall never forget, as they have left wonderful memories; however, others have left me unimpressed and quite frankly, disgusted. One of these is Corinaldo. The embarrassment of all respectable merfolk is harboured here in this concentrated cesspool of humanized merrow. They do not behave as merfolk should, gathering together once a week to squabble on about their affairs on the land. In their narcissistic grooming, the mermaids here wait in hopes that mermen will flock to them in shoals of hundreds. They are shameful to their own race, yet they do not seem to care.

  1. Just like people, "mer" would seem to come in all varieties, including vain and insincere. Though I think it is evident by their ranks what sort of character and company they keep.
